Disheng Europe has been established on May 31st 2017 as a joint venture between the Chinese chemical company Disheng and its long-term European distributor MPI. Disheng is one of the world’s foremost producers of benzotriazole UV absorbers and hindered-amine light stabilizers, while Dutch company MPI is a leading European distributor of these products, which are used as performance-enhancing additives within the plastics and coatings industries. Disheng (headquartered in Hangzhou) operates an ISO-certified production site, situated in Fujian province. Fujian Disheng Technology Co.,Ltd. is a state-of-the-art site operational since 2020,with unrivalled production of hindered-amine light stabilizers and benzotriazole / triazine UV absorbers for plastics and coatings. The site covers an area of over 200,000 square meters. The total annual production capacity of UV absorbers and light stabilizers is close to 12.000 tonnes, with over a dozen individual and shared workshops. By joining forces and establishing Disheng Europe, an opportunity has been created for a more effective communication between an Asian additive producer and European end-users. An improved understanding of the market requirements and the technical capabilities will result in a closer cooperation during the development of existing and new additives, as well as end-products. Furthermore, the integration of the production sites in China with the existing warehousing and logistical hub in the Netherlands will ensure cost-saving as well as stability of supply, for additives that are essential to many plastics and coatings. This will prove to be beneficial to converters, compounders, masterbatch-, film-, sheet-, resin-, adhesive-, sealant-, and paint-producers, from small regional companies to multinationals. All UV absorbers and light stabilizers that are supplied by Disheng Europe, which are manufactured in China and subsequently imported into Europe, have been successfully registered according to the REACH Regulation and comply with the requirements of other relevant European Regulations and Directives.
